I was born and raised in Germany. My family immigrated to the United States when I was a teenager. I have lived in Texas and Calgary, Canada, and I have been in Colorado since 2013. I am married to a USMA West Point graduate and former Army officer (Armor), now an Arborist Sales Manager. We have a 21-year-old daughter in nursing school, graduating in May 2025. She was offered three ICU positions (two at UC Health and one at Denver Health) and after a thorough pro/con list, she accepted the MICU RN position at Denver Health. We are beyond proud of her. In my spare time, I love to hike, lift weights, and read (I am always open to great book suggestions). I also enjoy cheering for my favorite sports teams: the Deutscher Fussball Bund (soccer), Chicago Cubs (baseball), and the United States Military Academy football team... GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!
